Faith

I have faith beyond all doubt.

If I feel unsure about the direction of my life, I take a deep breath, remembering that faith is my sure foundation. It is the basis upon which I build my life. When the winds of change are blowing and my future is unclear, I remember Jesus' words to his disciples: "If you have faith and do not doubt ... it will be done."

I stand on this promise, knowing that I have the strength of God within me. So I not only stand firm in the face of adversity, I move forward with confidence, trusting the faith that emanates from the core of my being to guide, support and encourage me. I am a messenger of God's love and an emissary for the power of faith. All things are possible.

If you have faith and do not doubt ... even if you say to this mountain, "Be lifted up and thrown into the sea," it will be done.--Matthew 21:21

Each morning {preferably} or evening I come to this website to be one with God, to have Sabbath, to be focused, to be a Follower, to be inspired, to listen and to be me. Today, it was the evening.  I am so amazed by God’s timing in this!  He knows our plans, our dreams, our desires, our needs and wants.  He is there for my family now more than ever!  I am grateful that I have the faith. My family has faith.  And, most of all, God has faith in each one of us!  I love this sentence from today’s devotion; “I remember Jesus' words to his disciples: "If you have faith and do not doubt ... it will be done."  Thank you God for being a loving, understanding, gentle God.  For this, I am so truly grateful!

My 1st Doodle | Listen

Doodles and More …

Goodbye Facebook!

I have finally listened and obeyed!  This social network site took away time, energy, 1:1 communications with friends, snail mail to friends and family.  Three people have done the same thing and this time I will be a follower!  I always told my boys, “Don’t be a follower!”  Be a leader!  So, am I leading or I am being a follower?  So, if you were a facebook friend; please email me!  So long, Facebook! 

Project Life 2011 | Weeks 2 & 3

These are Weeks 2 & 3.  I am actually up-to-date.  I am loving this concept of Project Life (http://www.beckyhiggins.com/products/) keeping track of daily things, week by week.  I am hoping to be able to use some of my current scrapbook papers, embellishments, stickers, etc. to add to the album.  I am loving that I am able to place items in between for pictures, homework, grade cards and other tidbits.  This past week I current get to the store to print off pictures; so I printed them at home.  And, you know, I am okay with it! Next month, I am going to use a Red Pen to document our daily events.  A special thank you to a new blog friend, http://lauramicheleportraiture.blogspot.com/ for telling me about this Windows Live Writer for bloggers.  It is so much easier to insert pictures, posting and making changes.  Thank you!  This is my Love.Peace.Happiness for today.

Love:  When my husband surprises me with his artwork on snow covered mornings & listening to his Dad saying he use to do the same thing in his parent's driveway after it snowed as well. 

Peace:  Seeing the boys play with Duct Tape. They cover their school notebooks, my youngest even made a Pencil Holder.  He told his Grandma B. that he will sell the large ones for a $1.00 and the small ones for $.50. 

Happiness:  Watching the Onion Plant grow and hearing my youngest talking to his daddy about what to grow in their garden next summer.

Perspective

I see life from a spiritual perspective.

In some photographs, perspective influences the relationship between two objects. A person close to the camera may appear larger than a tree off in the distance.

When I face a difficulty, it may also seem out of proportion to the good in my life. Placing a challenge in proper perspective, however, I see that I have all I need to face the situation confidently. The spirit of God is powerful in me and is more than enough to overcome any circumstance.

My difficulties shrink in proportion to my faith in God. The more I trust in God, the greater my confidence. What seemed a great challenge diminishes as I see my life from a spiritual perspective.

So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone ... there was no sword in David's hand.--1 Samuel 17:50

God is so good!!! I am so grateful that He has given me a beautiful family, a loving and constant husband and thoughtful children. I am grateful for the many tears, daily hugs and blessings this week. Amen!

I had many events in my life and they ALL have been "Stepping Stones." Some may have started out as "stumbling blocks" but they always turn into stepping stones! I am so grateful for my wonderful husband, boys and family/friends who have been there to hold my hand in stepping from one stone to the other this week. Than you!!

Saturday’s Reflection

SO MANY OF US ARE SO BUSY that we neglect to nurture our core, our souls. We forget to ask and explore questions such as:

• Am I content?
• How do I build deep contentment?
• What do I want to do with my life?
• How can I build a sense of growth and spiritual development that takes me beyond the mundane?

Although we may get away with ignoring these questions for a while, the questions do not go away but find places in our lives to nest and hatch into general dissatisfactions about pretty much everything. The discipline of regular journaling gives these questions an excellent place to come out in the open and at least be recognized, if not tackled. In turn, the exercise unclutters our minds and spirits so we can pursue the light.

Project Life 2011: January 1-8

Jan. 1-8, 2011, originally uploaded by Love.Peace.Happiness Family.

I am loving this new system of "telling our story" in a scrapbook format. There are journal cards for each day, seven spots for pictures, and a spot to write in the month and dates of the week. I started with Saturday, January 1, 2011 and will end with Fridays. I am placing receipts, cards, photos and our story. It is a new "routine" for me, its simple and its documentation! I like it!

One Little Word 2011 | Listen

I am grateful for the One Little Word 2011 Class that my husband got me for Christmas this year. It is taught by Ali Edwards at
http://www.bigpictureclasses.com/classes/onelittleword/. It is a monthly class. Ali says, "Each month you'll receive an email and an invitation to visit the One Little Word classroom. Inside the classroom, you'll find a gentle reminder message, encouragement to refocus, and a simple creative project to complete related to your word. At the end of the year you'll have an album that celebrates and honors your word - making it that much more concrete and visible in your life." Here is my title page, a picture of myself and my first page.

Bringing in 2011

Traditions

It has been a tradition for many years to celebrate the Old Year and Bring in the New Year with Paul's Sister, Angie and her family.  This year, we "waffled" whether or not to go up. As we were discussing it {in front} of the boys; Luke said, "but, Mom, we always go up there on New Year's!" This year it was simple.  Listening to the kids playing, yelling, talking, and playing.  The adults talked, laughed, reminiscence and ate.  It was a good night.  We rang in the New Year with Non-Alcoholic Champagne and "Poppers!" 

Thank you, Angie, Frank, Dante, Gia and Sophia

for a great and memorable time! I am glad we celebrated together; once again!
